Anticipating What God Can Do

Mission trips are not vacations.  Though we know we will get to experience amazing things by being a part of this team, we are going to serve others and not ourselves.   The picture above displays one of the fundraisers that members of our team participated in to raise money for our trip.   A mission trip requires financial, emotional, relational, and spiritual preparation and all of these things take work.  And work awaits us as we arrive on Romanian soil.

Yet the work is not without reward.  In fact, it is all about joy!  "These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.  This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you (John 15:13)."  Our main mission in Romania is that we love others as Jesus has loved us.  If we can do that individually and as a team, we will be successful and come back with overflowing hearts.

Here is what our team is looking forward to:

• How God works through out team to share His immense love with kids through an incredible VBS experience
• Being the hands and fee of Jesus and to serve our great God and His people in a place most of us have never been
• To shower the kiddos with God's love and build relationships with them through VBS and the youth rally
• Having out with kids, having fun with them,  and loving on them
• How God uses our team to serve others and how He will work in each of us
• Having assumptions shattered, faith expanded, and love for others grow
• Learn about their culture first-hand and see the surprising ways God will use us to expand His kingdom
• How believers life in a context completely different than our own and to see how our faith is the same
• To have God use us in unexpected ways that display His power
• To grow in fellowship with the team
